Our Vision

Every LAA season runs on the same fields, cages and courts our kids have used for years. As the association grows, so does our responsibility to keep those spaces safe, well-drained and ready for the next generation of players. This page is where we share our facilities plans openly, invite the whole LAA family into the decisions, and show families, sponsors and Middletown Township exactly where things stand.

Community Park Field Renovations

Baseball Softball

LAA is evaluating a major renovation of four baseball and softball fields at Community Park. The project is not yet approved to proceed and is currently dependent on identifying workable water-management, irrigation and drainage solutions.

Proposed Investment

$31,990

This estimate covers proposed renovation work across four Community Park baseball and softball fields.

What the Work Includes

  • New sod in worn and reconstructed areas
  • Improved grading and drainage
  • Removal of raised infield lips
  • Fresh custom infield material
  • Restored baselines and home plate areas
  • Rebuilt pitching mounds on CP1 and CP2
Current project status: This renovation cannot move forward until LAA and Middletown Township identify a reliable plan for water mitigation, confirm the irrigation system can support sod establishment, and complete Township review and approval. Once those requirements are resolved and the project is approved, the affected fields would then need to close during installation and sod establishment.
